O. Lee Wiseley, Jr.

Lee joined Family Asset Management in 2006 and brings both legal and tax experience to FAM. His background includes working for his family’s manufacturing business, four years with the Internal Revenue Service as an Estate Tax Attorney and 11 years in private law practice representing high net worth clients in connection with estate planning and administration, business planning and tax controversies. Lee earned his BBA with an emphasis in Finance as well as his JD from the University of Georgia. He later earned his LL.M. in Taxation from Emory University. A frequent speaker at professional education programs, he is a member of the State Bar of Georgia and the American Bar Association, and he is admitted to practice before the United States Tax Court. Previously, Lee served as Chair of the Fiduciary Law Section of the Georgia Bar.

Blake N. Melton

Blake is a Senior Wealth Strategist with Synovus Family Asset Management. Prior to joining FAM in 2007, Blake was in private practice with Page, Scrantom, Sprouse, Tucker and Ford, P.C. Blake earned his BA in Economics from the University of Colorado at Boulder, his law degree from the University of Georgia School of Law (cum laude), and his LL.M. in Taxation from the University of Alabama School of Law (summa cum laude). He is a CERTIFIED FINANCIAL PLANNER™ professional. Blake is a member of the Georgia and Alabama Bars. He is highly involved in the Fiduciary Section of the Georgia Bar, where he is currently serving in the leadership position. Blake is a frequent speaker at professional education programs. He is also a member of the Columbus and Atlanta Estate Planning Councils.

Catherine L. Wiegand

Cathy joined Family Asset Management in 2014. In 2011, Cathy graduated summa cum laude with honors from the University of Georgia Terry College of Business with a BBA in Finance. In 2014, she graduated, cum laude, from the University of Georgia School of Law. While a law student, she demonstrated an interest in estate tax and estate planning. Cathy earned the law school’s Verner F. Chaffin Award for Excellence in the Study of Fiduciary Law.
